honey flowing by Mei Mackleer

a sense of soft serenity in the slow flow
of honey, it appears to aglow

why oh why are we so blessed?
the hill boosted
of its birth to alluring flowers

though rainstorms may come
and bees are glum

little do the bees know,
rain aids and bestow

new beginnings.

  1. Deep and sentimental...

    Here is my favorite tanka:

    A clasp of thunder
    Faintly resounding above
    Grey and clouded skies
Perhaps rain will come once more
If so, will you stay with me?
